My creative partner Sneha and I had just left a company that brought Bollywood to the world. But we took the logic of Bollywood with us. There, music isn’t atmosphere; it’s the engine. In Bollywood, people sing when life gets too big - a sensation I was intimately acquainted with at the time.
So, we put a cowboy in Mumbai.
He isn’t a hero in the traditional sense. He's a guy in the wrong movie, wearing the wrong outfit, trying to get somewhere. He does what needs to be done. He doesn't stop because it's undignified.
