SCAM SLAVE: From Hell to Home, exposes the dark underworld of cybercrime: scam centers run by organized crime networks and powered by enslaved victims. This story follows the point of view of Gideon Mwesezi, a young Ugandan man from an impoverished village who accepts what appears to be a data-entry job in Thailand, only to be trafficked across the border into Myanmar and forced into a scam compound tied to the global “pig butchering” industry. Inside, Gideon discovers thousands of trafficked workers from dozens of countries held through violence, torture, imprisonment, and psychological coercion.

Through Gideon’s story, the film reveals how modern-day slavery is fueling one of the fastest-growing criminal economies on earth. At the same time, it honors the courage of those fighting to survive and return home.
